Eliza Jane (Idie) Jones was daughter of John Peyton Jones (1809-1891). His silhouette is part of the Westbury Silhouette Trail and is situated outside of the Westbury and District Historical Society.
He was the Magistrate and first Mayor, of Westbury who as a young soldier became legendary when he deployed a chain of vicious dogs across Eaglehawk Neck to deter convicts escaping from Port Arthur.
