AUGUSTA SOPHIA (GUSSIE) GREENHILL (1849 -1953)
Gussie Wright, daughter of Christopher Henry and Laura Paulina Wright lived at “Brookville”, Westbury  with her family until she married George Greenhill and moved to “Egmont”.

As was the fashion of the times ladies visited each other for afternoon tea and if no one was at home they left calling cards.
The Wright family entertained many of the Field girls and called on them in return.

Laura Paulina kept daily diaries for 30 years and contained such entries as:
Dec 2 1885 –“Mrs. Field and her daughters called afternoon”
April 14 1886 – “Met Misses Lizzie and Nellie Field and the Dr. coming here to sketch.  Had put seats etc. ready for them before leaving home”
These bookends were presented to Gussie for her 100th birthday , August 29 1949.
